### What to look for in a comparison

- Look for the incision pattern as well as the change in position.
- Check whether implants or a reduction were included.
- Compare posture and the time elapsed since surgery.

Images are a starting point for discussion. They cannot establish whether a procedure is suitable for you or predict your result.

UNDERSTAND THE PROCEDURE

## Understanding breast lift

A breast lift removes excess skin and reshapes supporting tissue to raise and reshape the breast. Changes after pregnancy, weight fluctuations, or aging can be part of the consultation.

### An important distinction

A lift alone does not substantially increase breast size or upper-breast fullness. Augmentation or reduction may be separate options when volume is also a concern.

### Start with your own goals

Bring the changes you want to discuss, your medical history, medications, and prior procedures to a consultation. Ask about alternatives, including waiting or choosing no treatment. A gallery comparison is not a substitute for that assessment.

PLAN FOR THE WHOLE EXPERIENCE

## Recovery & follow-up

Dressings and a support bra or elastic bandage may be needed. Some patients have temporary drains. Get a plan for incision care, follow-up, lifting restrictions, and return to exercise.

A BALANCED VIEW

## Risks to discuss

Risks include altered nipple sensation, asymmetry, scarring, poor healing, infection, and partial or total nipple or areola loss. Anesthesia, blood-clot, and revision risks also warrant discussion.

These examples are not a complete list. Ask your treating physician how your health, the chosen technique, and any combined procedures affect risk, and what follow-up care is included.

BRING BETTER QUESTIONS

## Your consultation checklist

Choose the questions you want to take with you. This checklist stays on this page; it is not sent to a provider.

- [ ] Would a lift alone address my goals for shape and fullness?

- [ ] Which scar pattern would you use and why?

- [ ] How could sensation, future pregnancy, or breastfeeding be affected?

- [ ] What is included in the total estimate, aftercare, and any revision policy?
