### What to look for in a comparison

- Compare arm position; raising or rotating the arm changes its appearance.
- Look for both the contour and the scar location.
- Check whether liposuction or another body procedure was included.

Images are a starting point for discussion. They cannot establish whether a procedure is suitable for you or predict your result.

UNDERSTAND THE PROCEDURE

## Understanding arm lift

An arm lift reshapes the upper arm by removing excess sagging skin and, when appropriate, localized fat. It addresses skin looseness that exercise alone does not remove.

### An important distinction

Ask whether your concern is mainly skin, fat, or both. Discuss the expected incision before choosing a procedure; the resulting contour is only one part of the decision.

### Start with your own goals

Bring the changes you want to discuss, your medical history, medications, and prior procedures to a consultation. Ask about alternatives, including waiting or choosing no treatment. A gallery comparison is not a substitute for that assessment.

PLAN FOR THE WHOLE EXPERIENCE

## Recovery & follow-up

Dressings, compression, and sometimes temporary drains may be used. Ask about arm movement, lifting, dressing yourself, and help at home. Follow the surgeon’s wound-care and activity instructions.

A BALANCED VIEW

## Risks to discuss

Risks include noticeable scarring, poor healing, bleeding, infection, sensation changes, and damage to deeper structures. Persistent pain and the need for revision are also possible.

These examples are not a complete list. Ask your treating physician how your health, the chosen technique, and any combined procedures affect risk, and what follow-up care is included.

BRING BETTER QUESTIONS

## Your consultation checklist

Choose the questions you want to take with you. This checklist stays on this page; it is not sent to a provider.

- [ ] How much loose skin can be addressed, and where will the scar run?

- [ ] Would liposuction alone leave excess skin?

- [ ] What help will I need with daily activities during recovery?

- [ ] What is included in the total estimate, aftercare, and any revision policy?
